Westchester Teams Travel for Holidays
'Tis the season for holiday basketball. The Westchester, NY holiday basketball season has begun.

This season two top ten teams; Mount Vernon HS and New Rochelle HS. These two cross town rivals will meet up in January but start their opening season miles apart.
The Mount Vernon Knights have departed with passports in hand and will participate in Canada's featured sporting event; The REB 2012 Invitational Tournament (December 13-15th). The REB is celebrating its 31st anniversary with thirty six teams 12 senior varsity boys, 8 senior varsity girls, 8 junior boys, and 8 junior girls.
The participating teams the Knights will face are Canadian Teams; Jasper Place, , Archbishop O'Leary, Ross Sheppard, St Francis Xavier, Bev Facey Sherwood Park, Bishop James Mahoney Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Sir Winton Churchill HS, White Rock Christian Academy and USA teams; JW North Riverside (CA), and Woodrow Wilson (TX).
The New Rochelle Huguenots will remain in the USA and participate in the 2012 Farm Bureau Classic at Eastern Kentucky Expo Center in Pikeville, KY. The two day event December 14-15th will feature the following teams:
