Unique upset Playaz to win iS8/Nike East

As promised and predicted by Coach Torrell Harris it was a shoot out between his Unique All-stars and the Playaz Club Juniors. The Playaz Club Juniors, as always, were stacked but the All-stars brought in a "secret weapon."
When the dust had settled it would be the Unique All-stars pulling out a 2 point victory.
While the Playaz Club led early, the Unique All-stars were relentless on defense.
In the first half, the All-stars came hard with their "secret weapon," Taran Buie who scored 15 first half points.
The Playaz Cub came with their usual suspects as Dominic Cheek held it down while Kenny Ortiz ran the point. The Playaz Club lacked Tamir Jackson one of their key offensive players but nonetheless were formidable.
Tobias Harris had only 7 first half points as the Playaz keyed in on him leaving Marcus Dumas open to score giving the Unique All-stars with a 4 point lead as the half ended.
In the second half the All-stars maintained their lead but mid-way through the final quarter the All-stars would have a defensive lapse resulting in buckets by Justin Crosgile and big man Dylan Bulgar. As a result, the Playaz would regain the lead.
A Cheek lay up would put the Playaz up by 11 points with a little over 2:39 remaining but the All-stars seemed up against a wall.
A three ball by Buie and a put back by Jamel Fields would bring the All-stars to within 4 points and a put back by Harris would bring them to within 2 points.
Playaz would push back but a Buie three ball followed by a lay-up would finally tie game and put the Playaz in desperation mode..
Dumas would get a steal and lay-up to win the game for the All-stars at the buzzer, 77-75. The win would also solidify the All-stars bid for first place in the East division of the iS8 as the playoffs begin later this week.
Sophomore Taran Buie would have a game high 25 points while Dom Cheek put down 24 points for the Playaz Club Juniors.
