There was no stopping 5'8" guard Jackie Piddock (South Jefferson '22) this season as the sophomore sensation went off for nearly 30 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists per game for the Spartans.

Piddock looked as if she was well on her way to leading South Jefferson to the NYSPHSAA Class B Championship this year before COVID-19 put an end to the season of the Section 3 champions. It may have been a disappointing end to what looked like a title winning year, but Piddock surely looks to be ready to put herself on the map of biggest talents in New York moving forward.

After what can only be described as a spectacular year with the Spartans, Piddock looks ready to roll once the AAU season gets underway as she will be playing up an age group with the 17u NY Havoc Blue squad.

It will be Piddock first chance playing on the biggest AAU stage but Havoc head coach Terrance Florence absolutely knows that she is ready and is excited to see her prove it to the opposition and college coaches once the season gets underway.

"She's just a stud," Florence emphatically stated. "Jackie's unstoppable on the ball and makes such great plays every time up the floor and I'm just looking forward to getting out there and seeing what she can do."

Calling Piddock smart and crafty while also being a dangerous scorer from all over the floor, Florence believes that while some may be sleeping on what she can do now that is going to change very quickly once she proves that her game translates extremely well from Class B basketball in the Syracuse region to the bright lights of some of the biggest AAU games in the country.

Marist has been on Piddock already at this point with a number of other MAAC programs beginning to inquire as well but this is just the start as Florence understands that her time to shine in front of all the college coaches is just about to begin, and he knows with her heart and desire that Piddock is ready for any challenge that comes her way.

"Oh, for sure Jackie is at least going to be a mid-major player possibly even higher," Florence said. "She's a winner, she's got two more years to show what she can do, and I'm really expecting big things from her absolutely."
