Shavar Newkirk and Chris McCullough were both playing phenomenal basketball.
Cheick Diallo also stepped up big off the bench along with Terry Larrier, who made key shots for Team Scan.
With a big steal to get the ball back to Stampede and out of the hands of Team Scan.
After two made free throws, Team Scan saw themselves trailing by two with 31 seconds left on the clock. In their most crucial possession, Newkirk saw his three fall of the right side of the rim right to McCullough, who missed a layup to tie the game.
Soon after, Stampede hit two more free-throws to push the lead to four but Conrad Chambers came up big for Team Scan with a huge three with 20 seconds left on the clock and pulled them within one.
However, Stampede continued to make all of their free-throws, which ultimately carried them to a 51-49 victory. The loss brought Team Scan to 3-1 at the Peach Jam.
New York was well represented by coach Terrence "Munch" Williams and Team Scan at the biggest event of the summer.
"Took a tough lost tonight," said McCullough after the game. "Got to bounce back tho play again in 3 days in Vegas."
