St. Francis Prep Guard Stays Local

The Terriers program had another great season last year despite falling short in the playoffs. They continue to prove they are one of the top programs in the CHSAA and in our opinion could be considered a top 50 team in the country every year. While everyone focuses on next season they just got another update on one of their seniors.

That would be 6’3” G Tyler Michel (St. Francis Prep HS, NY ’24) who announced yesterday that he will be staying close to home and attending Queens College. Michel is a heady guard who can score, defend, create his own shot and will provide your program with depth immediately. He is a hard worker, very unselfish, an A+ as a kid, will outwork teammates in practice and should gain the coaches trust immediately. His sacrifice at times helped push Prep to the next level and when the Terriers needed him to lead or score he did that as well.

We are big fans of the senior guard, he comes from a great family. Michel won’t waste the opportunity and he will never be an issue for the program. This is great news for the league as well to see a high school prospect get scooped up by a legit D2 program. They won’t be disappointed, he will help them immediately, Queens can build their recruiting class around Michel and it’s an exciting start. Keep an eye out for the Knights as they look to reload their roster for the future.
