Sneaker Wars: Under Armour vs. Nike

On August 21-22nd Under Armour Elite 24 will celebrate its 10th Anniversary game at Pier 2 in Brooklyn, NY.
This year's event recently has become clouded with controversy with UA competitors Nike introducing a similar event put together in a matter of days in an attempt exert the power of the swoosh brand.

Some have coined the two events as a sneaker war a battle of shoe brands with elite student-athletes as their pawns. The early influence of a brand on a student- athlete can increase the likelihood of a long term beneficial relationship once the player becomes a professional.
Only a few days ago, Nike announce a trip to Bahamas using the already establish select group of EYBL players. The event is schedule for August 21-22nd with two days of workouts and training. The Nike team will face the Bahamas National Select Team and the game will be live-streamed.
The twelve players attending the Bahamas event; Mohamed Bamba, Miles Bridges, Wendell Carter, De'Aaron Fox, Harry Giles, Jonathan Isaac, Malik Monk, Michael Porter, Jayson Tatum, Gary Trent, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Trae Young.
On Friday, Elite 24 re-released its final roster with DeAndre Ayton, Justin Jackson, Troy Brown, Frank Jackson, Hamidou Diallo, Terrance Ferguson, Trevon Duval, Josh Jackson, Thon Maker, TJ Leaf, Seventh Woods, Dewan Huell, Udoka Azubuike, Mario Kegler, Kobi Simmons, Rawle Alkins, Shamorie Ponds, Jalek Felton, Markelle Fultz, Billy Preston, Wenyen Gabriel, MJ Walker, Bam Adebayo, and Jarrett Allen.
The Elite 24 event has two Nike players on their roster Troy Brown and Udoka Azubuike.
