Rising Stars fall hard at Jam Fest

It was the NY teams to qualify for the round action of the Providence Jam Fest on Saturday as The Rising Stars of Long Island, NY competed against Upstate Basketball from Upstate NY.
It didn't take long however to realize that the Rising Stars were totally over matched in a contest that would be stopped early.

The Rising Stars would start out aggressive against the Upstate Basketball but soon the Upstate team would warm up as Rutgers bound junior Dane Miller and 6'3" junior from Jamesville-DeWitt, Brandon Triche would knot the game early and never look back..
The Rising Stars of Long Island would put up a valiant effort. The Wildes brothers (Patrick & Sean) of Chaminade and Josh Elbaum of St. John the Baptist would try to work their offense but the Upstate Ballers were relentless on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.
The Upstate lead grew to 17 points but Tim Beinert of Holy Cross would stroke a three to momentarily cut into the lead but at the half the score was already 43-28.
David Feigel of Hewlett would come alive early in the second half scoring back to backs but a Triche three ball would restore the balance of power for the Upstate team who would go on to win 95-54.
Brandon Triche would lead all scores with 19 points.
