Queens, NY reps in NBA draft

With Kentucky dominating the first two slots in the NBA draft with Anthony Davis and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist respectively, there were a few of New Yorkers who could have slipped into the first round.

When the dust settled and the 30th pick was announced ending the first round, there would be only one NY product to make it.
Moe Harkless from St. John's would get the call as the 15th pick in the draft heading to the Philidelphia 76ers. A native NYer, Harkless would be the highest drafted Johnnie in 20 years (Malik Sealy went 14th in 1992).
A few New Yorkers would get selected in the second round with Kentucky's Doron Lamb going to the Milwaukee Bucks at #42 and Norfolk State Cinderella star Kyle O'Quinn heading to Orlando as the #49 pick.
All three draft picks hail from Queens, NY
Three New York players who were surprisingly left out of the draft were Iona's Scott Machado, West Virginia's Kevin Jones and Xavier's Tu Holloway.
