The first semifinal match-up would be between the Boys & Girls Kangaroos and the Thomas Edison Inventors. The Kangaroos which feature Brandon Romain, David Imes and Patrick Jackson see the Inventors as all that stands in their way to face off against the Abraham Lincoln Railsplitters. A team who is their archrival and who plays in the second semifinal game. Boys & Girls wants to play this third and final game against Lincoln who they've beaten and been beat by.
The Inventors on the other hand want to prove that last year rise to power was not just a fluke. Thomas Edison's star players Allen Thomas and Isiah Stokely are licking their chops hoping to upset the Kangaroos the same way Thomas Jefferson did when they beat the Kangaroos early in the PSAL Borough Championships..
In the second semifinal game, Lincoln would go up against the Thomas Jefferson Orange Wave. The Orange Wave upset Boys & Girls in the PSAL Boroughs only to be crushed by the Railsplitters in the Borough Finals for the Brooklyn crown. Lincoln is a formidable team as they not only have the junior phenom Lance Stephenson buy two dominate big men in James Padgett and Justin Green.
The Orange Wave is no slouch either, as they are a young but talented team. Their big three consists of Keith Spellman, freshman sensation Davontay Grace and big man Joel "Air Jamaica" Wright.
