Peach Jam: City Rocks in Elite 8

The last team remaining representing New York in the prestigious NIKE EYBL Peach Jam is the Albany City Rocks.

The first session of Peach Jam began in Hampton, VA, then traveled to Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA and then Los Angeles, CA then finally finishing up at South Augusta, SC.

At the start of the event there were only four NY teams competing City Rocks (10-6) , Long Island Lightning (10-6), NY Rens (8-8) and PSA Cardinals (10 – 6).

After the final leg in Los Angeles only three teams remained to enter into the EYBL Finals. City Rocks (4-1), Long Island Lightning (2-3), and PSA Cardinals (3-2).

Due to strong performances by Joe Girard, Buddy Boehiem and Isaiah Stewart In South Augusta, SC only one NY remained standing the upstate NY powerhouse. the Albany City Rocks. On Saturday, the team led by Coach Jim Hart entered the Elite 8 with an 80 – 75 win against Team Takeover powered by Mike Adams-Woods and Jeenathan Williams and will face Team Takeover in the opening round. The City Rocks only loss at Peach was by three-points against Boo Williams.

The City Rocks talent load team is comprised of Dominic Welsh, Adams-Woods, Greg Dolan, Davis Franks, Girard, Williams, Joe Jones, Jalen Pickett, Nahziah Carter, Stewart, Xavier Mayo, Boeheim, and Jackson Boeheim.
