NY Lightnings run ends at EYBL
The New York Lightning's run in the NIKE Elite Youth Invitational came to an end on Saturday after advancing to the semifinal round in the August, SC event.

In a hard fought battle, the NY Lightning (16U) team would fall short against Team Thad (TN), 94-81.
Team Thad, a Memphis based team sponsored by Thaddeus Young, is considered one of the top 16U programs in the country according to Lightning head coach Chris Williams.
The NY Lightning would go undefeated in pool play, besting St. Louis (50-47) and the Carolina Jazz (74-45) with solid play, in the paint, by Adonis Delarosa. The 6'10" rising junior dropped a team high 18 points versus the Jazz.
The Long Island, NY based squad would advance to the semis, bypassing the Louisiana Select (57-48) led by Khadeen Carrington (14 points), Kahari Beaufort (13 points) and C.J. Davis (12 points).
Although the Lightning lost in the semifinals, Carrington led the way with a game high 32 points with Davis adding 15 points.
