New York Teams @ NIKE EYBL

During Memorial weekend, May 25-28th, the NIKE Elite Youth Basketball League continued with New York teams traveling to Oakland, CA to compete.

NIKE EYBL Session No. 4 marked the end of the regular season for teams vying a spot in the EYBL Finals at NIKE Peach Jam.
On Friday, the two participating New York teams would forfeit. Albany City Rocks (NY) would bow out against Mokan Elite (KS). Later, the Metro Hawks would follow suit, forfeiting against Team United (NC).
The only NY team participating on Friday was the NY Lightning who fell short, missing the mark to Nike Team Florida (FL) 70-68. Jon Severe would lead the Lightning squad with 29 points while teammate Dayshon Smith contributed 15 points and five assists. Terrence Samuel added seven points respectfully.
In Saturday's roundup, the Metro Hawks (NY) would again forfeit against the Arkansas Wings (AR) and against Texas Pro (TX).
Albany City Rocks (NY) took a loss to King James (OH) 66-61. Manny Suarez led the City Rocks with 15 points while Jayde Dawson finished with 11 points and five assists. Shadell Millinghaus and Tyler Mcleod added 10 points apiece.
NY Lightning would redeem an earlier loss, defeating ICP Elite (OR) 58-52. Severe led the way again with 18 points. Smith added 15 points in this contest.
The Albany City Rocks (NY) would thrash the Jackson Tigers (MS) 80-48. Millinghaus led for City Rocks with 19 points, six assists and three steals. Chinoso Obokoh, Sterling Taplin, Denzell Gregg all finished with 14 points apiece.
Later in the evening, the NY Lightning loss to California Supreme (CA) 70-63. Samuel however led with 17 points with Severe finishing with 16 points.
There are only two days left in the EYBL and New York teams will have to step it up.
