On Wednesday, Mount Vernon junior Sherrod Wright scored his 1,000th career point, as the Knights shutout Scarsdale in a 95-59 win.

Wright, only needed 17 points to reach the landmark goal, and scored 18. Wright is the second player, on the Knight team to reach the 1,000th point mark this season.
West Virginia-bound Kevin Jones scored a game-high 25 points, and 10 rebounds. Scarsdale Evan Livingston had 15 points and eight assists which ended their regular season.
Mount Vernon Knights are ranked number five by NYCHoops, with 14-3 winning games. The Knights have two regular-season games remaining this week, one at Mamaroneck on Friday, and the other on Saturday at Roman Catholic in NJ.
