Lincoln Slams City of Palms Day 1

NYCHoops.net #1 ranked Abraham Lincoln's opening game in the City of Palm Classic Tournament was a slam dunk win versus Green Forest of Decatur, GA. The Railsplitters, who won 80-67, were led by Isaiah Whitehead and Dunkin' Desi Rodriguez.
Although Green Forest only trailed by three points at the end of the first quarter, Whitehead scored 19 points in the first half to create a substantial lead at the midway point.
The Eagles outscored Lincoln in the fourth quarter but could not swim far enough upstream to pull off the win. Rodriguez punctuated the win with a facial and a snarl.
Whitehead finished with a game high 36 points to go with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Rodriguez added 26 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals. Justin Ravenel led Green Forest with 25 points with John Ogwuche contributing 12 points.
The Railsplitters are set to play Monteverde (FL) on Friday.
