The Lady Bulls came with talent as well as with a bench as Ny-Asia Franklin (E. Orange HS/2015) along as Jordan Agustus coming to play. Conversely, while New Heights also had talent, they only rolled five deep and were therefore forced to watch their P's and Q's in the foul and pace department.
Skydajah Patterson (Bishop Loughlin/2016) led the way, scoring half of New Heights' points early and the Mike Toro coached team led by three points after the first quarter. The opposition would counter as Franklin began to turn it up in the second quarter, driving hard to the rim and either scoring and/or getting to the foul line. Outscoring New Heights by eight, the Lady Bulls would reclaim the lead at the half, 25-20.
Deft passing from New Heights' point guard Mei-Lyn Bautista and offensive prowess from Toucan Billings (Bishop Loughlin/2016) would cut into the Bulls lead midway through the third quarter but it would not be enough. The tag team of Franklin and McKayla Hernandez (St. Mary's) would respond, to increase the lead to 9 points, seguing into the final chapter of the game. A balanced scoring attack by the Lady Bulls would eventually close the book on an under-manned New Heights team handing them a 13 point loss.
Franklin scored a team high 16 points with Aqustus adding 8 points. Billings led New Heights-Chez with a game high 15 points with Patterson contributing 12 points.
