Jones Picks Final Four

As decision day gets closer and closer, power forward Kevin Jones of Mount Vernon High School in Westchester, NY sat down and finally gave us his favorite five as "Indiana, Ohio, UMass, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh." Ohio State, however, has recently withdrawn its offer.
Thursday evening, after a group dinner, Jones and his Coach, sat down and commented on the up coming season and the future.
Kevin Jones gave his view on the teams' direction this season saying, "The team will give way to new play making and great defense." Jones' coach, Bob Cimmino agreed and added, "They will play with hard defense and fast break action. The team is ready, so get ready NYC because Mount Vernon may have suburban type homes but they got big city game."
When asked about a being a team leader and who will be his successor, Jones replied, "Once I leave Mt Vernon High School, Sherrod Wright will be the up and coming new leader of the team." He described his own leadership skills, not as a vocal leader but as a leader by example. Jones enjoys "Going out to show others players the right way."
On the topic of his choice of college and whether he would remain on the east or west coast, Jones mentioned colleges on both coasts. When asked the hypothetical question, if he had five days left and only five teams, which ones would they be, Jones responded by saying his favorite five are "Indiana, Ohio, UMass, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh." Since Ohio State has recently withdrawn its offer, it seems to be down to "The Final Four." Stay tuned to NYCHoops for more on Kevin Jones and other players on the Mt. Vernon Knights.
