The season has only been over for two days and the Illini are already making some noise on the recruiting trail.

On Friday, three-star shooting guard Alan Griffin announced via his twitter that he was committing to the Illini. Griffin had earned an offer just two weeks ago and will now head back to the Land of Lincoln to play his college ball.

"I felt really confident about picking Illinis," Griffin said. "I just went with my gut. I visited there this past summer and I really liked it. The coaching staff is really nice. They feel like I can bring in a lot that they need."
