Hinds is Mr. Basketball, Again

On Wednesday, Westchester County Basketball Coaches Association released the name of this year's Mr. Basketball.

For the second year in a row, NYCHoops.net #1 ranked Jabarie Hinds of the Mount Vernon Knight's takes top honors and is named Mr. Basketball.

This year's honor comes as no surprise to those who have watched the West Virginia-bound senior on the rise. Hinds join an elite class with this year's honor as being only the third player in Westchester County to be honored twice. He received his first honor as a junior last year. Over the past 15 years NBA Ben Gordon and Elton Brand were the only players known to have received this honor twice.

Hinds responded to this year's award saying, "It feels great! I still got unfinished work to do though." Also being honored twice this year is New Rochelle's P.J. Torres receiving his second honor as All Tri-County Team.
