NY Lightning Undefeated (6-3 Overall)
The Lightning would come out blazing on the final day as their go-to-guy Mike Williams dropped 24 points along with teammate Khadeen Carrington's 16 points. Angel Delgado added a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. The end result would be a significant win over the Southern Stampede (GA), 75-67.
Delgado would also impress against the Seattle Rotary (WA) as he led the Lightning with 18 points and 8 rebounds to a 78-61 victory.
Team Scan take a split (6-3 Overall)
Chris McCullough would drop 14 points along with 14 rebounds en route to a 58-45 win over The Family (MI). Shavar Newkirk also added 14 points of much needed firepower.
Scan would get slapped by the St. Louis Eagles (MO) as Jordan Barnett unleashed 22 points and 10 rebounds on the Bronx, NY team. Newkirk once again played well as he knocked down a team high 21 points to go with 4 steals but it would all be in vain as the Eagles would go on to win, 71-65.
Albany City Rocks Get Rocked in OT's (3-6 Overall)
The City Rocks would play catch up versus the Jackson Tigers (MS) and take the game into overtime with a dominant second half led by Jamil Hood (23 points, 6 assists). The Tigers would dominate the OT winning primarily from the free-throw line as Maurice Dunlap II and Reggie Johnson attacked the City Rocks core to win, 83-76.
Athletes First (OK) would build up a ten point half time lead and once again City Rocks found themselves digging out of a hole. To their credit the Albany, NY squad would come back and take the game into overtime but their sparse overall offense only managed to produce two-points in the extra minutes resulting in a, 58-54 loss. Athletes First was paced by Allonzo Trier with 22 points and Larry Dennis who inhaled 16 rebounds. Winston Morgan was the only City Rocks player in double digits with 11 points.
