In the third quarter, Woodland Hills went on a run and even gained the lead on Holy Cross, outscoring them 20 – 11 however; poor field goal percentages plagued the California team. That, along with not being able to contain Holy Cross' shooters ultimately led to their demise.

Holy Cross remains undefeated in the tournament as well as during the season with a 4 – 0 record.
