Section I
Last season, Section I Championship gold went to the Mount Vernon Knights for the fifth time in a row.

The Knights faced the Poughkeepsie Pioneers in this Championship round but the climb was not an easy one. The Knights first had to defeat last years No 1 state ranked team New Rochelle Huguenots led by P.J. Torres.
This season the race for the gold ball will have all the same familiar faces but add now Horace Greeley in the mix led by Yale bound-Matt Townsend for the title spot. Can the Knights led by West Virginia Jabarie Hinds pull off a six title or will Poughkeepsie or New Rochelle get revenge on the Knights?
Section II
Last season, Section II Championship gold was captured by Christian Brother Academy Brothers it was their fifth title win. Before CBA took the title last year they faced Shenendehowa Plainsmen both teams were 20-1.
This season CBA led by Cornell bound-Galal Cancer and Shenendehowa led by senior Jose Reyes are destined to meet again down the stretch.
This season favorites are Albany Academy Cadets led by Jelani Currie and Troy HS Flying Horses led by Shadell Millinghaus. There are whispers that the Flying Horses might pull off an upset and take home the title.
