2008 Jordan Brand Classic Regional Team Announcement

Top New York City area prep stars to take the court at The Garden on April 19th

NEW YORK, NY (March 13, 2008) – Jordan Brand, a division of Nike, Inc., announced today the rosters for the Jordan Brand Classic Regional Team which will be the preliminary game of the Jordan Brand Classic, presented by Foot Locker and Boost Mobile, at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, April 19th. The game will feature the top prep players from the New York City metropolitan area in a City vs. Suburbs showdown with a portion of the proceeds to once again benefit The Children's Aid Society.

The Suburban Team will feature Kevin Jones (Mt. Vernon/Mt. Vernon, NY), Mookie Jones (Peekskill/Peekskill, NY), Sean Kilpatrick (White Plains/White Plains, NY), Marcus Morris (Apex Academy/Pennsauken, NJ), Markieff Morris (Apex Academy/Pennsauken, NJ), Jiovanny Fontan (St. Anthony/Jersey City, NJ), Jarrett Mann (Blair Academy/Blairstown, NJ), Jordan Theodore (Paterson Catholic/Paterson, NJ), Quintrell Thomas (St. Patrick/Elizabeth, NJ), Desmond Wade (Linden/Linden, NJ) and Travon Woodall (St. Anthony/Jersey City, NJ).

The City Team will include Darryl Bryant (St. Raymond's/Bronx, NY), Trinity Fields (Cardozo/Bayside, NY), Chris Fouch (Rice/Harlem, NY), Blaise Ffrench (Holy Cross/Flushing, NY), Lance Goulbourne (The Hun School/Princeton, NJ), Patrick Jackson (Boys & Girls/Brooklyn, NY), Ryan Pearson (Christ the King/Middle Village, NY), Kevin Phillip (Bishop Loughlin/Brooklyn, NY), Erving Walker (Christ the King/Middle Village, NY), Justin Greene (Abraham Lincoln/Brooklyn, NY) and Bilal Dixon (Queen of Peace/North Arlington, NJ).

The Suburban Team will be led by coaches Spencer Mayfield (White Plains/White Plains, NY) and Nick Marinello (Bloomfield Tech/Bloomfield, NJ) while the City Team will have Khalid Green (Bishop Loughling/Brooklyn, NY) and Tommy Allen (Canarsie/Brooklyn, NY) patrolling the bench.

Sponsored by Jordan Brand, the event is also annually attended by some of sport and entertainment's biggest stars, who have included Michael Jordan, Spike Lee, LL Cool J, Warren Sapp, Terrell Owens, Floyd Mayweather, Kanye West, Fat Joe, Ludacris, Ahmad Rashad and Vince Carter.

Recent Jordan Brand All-Americans have included NBA stars Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James, Amarè Stoudemire, Dwight Howard and Kevin Durant as well as current NCAA standouts Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina), Derrick Rose (Memphis), Eric Gordon (Indiana), Jerryd Bayless (Arizona) and D.J. White (Indiana).
