Five-Star Orange White Classic

BREWSTER, NY - Sunday's Orange & White All-Star game capped off a two day weekend at the Five-Star Basketball Camp. Of the one hundred players that participated, 28 players were selected to go at it for four quarters. The White team led for the majority of the offense-heavy game but an MVP performance by Jabarie Hinds gave the Orange team a, 126-125, come-from-behind win.
With 29 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds, Hinds was the high scorer for the Orange team followed by Tyler Harris (17 points), Myles Davis (16 points), Shaquille Thomas (14 points). Reuben King (12 points) from Abraham Lincoln HS was also impressive scoring all his points off of 3-pointers. All other players scored single digits.

John Davis, a 6'4" sophomore from Neumann & Goretti (PA) was the high scorer for the White team with 25 points with Rivals.com 5-star player, B.J. Young contributing 24 points. Achraf Yacoubou scored 18 points and Elijah Carter, 13 points. All other players scored single digits.

The camp also gave out individual awards based on the camp in its entirety. Elijah Carter and B.J. Young were co-Most Outstanding players with Tom Whalen, a 6'6" senior from Fordham Prep receiving the Most Improved Player honors. Best Playmaker awards were given to 6'0" Danny Lawhorn (Robinson HS, CT) and Jabarie Hinds. Tyler Harris and 6'8" Mike Young from St. Benedict's won Best Rebounders. Achraf Yacoubou received the Best Defender award. Most Promising Players were Natt Britt, Mike Young and Rodney Bullick
