The Chiefs competed early but faded fast as the Wadleigh zone forced the Queens team to live and ultimately die from the perimeter. The Tigers had a slight lead early but stretched it out for a 59-45 win.
Vernell Blackmon led the charge early for the Chief knocking down six quick points. After trailing for most of the first half, Malik Thomas put the Tigers ahead 26-23 as the half ended.
In the second half, the Tigers extended their lead as Thomas scored both inside and out. Sammy Hagler did manage to cut into Wadleigh's lead slightly, hitting a couple of three-pointers but Wadleigh's intensity was simply too much. Canarsie relied too much on outside shots but with low field goal percentage, the Tigers we able to score in transition.
With about 3 minutes left in the game, Wadleigh would coast to victory.
Malik Thomas led Wadleigh with 19 points with Sammy Hagler scoring 12 points for Canarsie.
