The Eagle Academy of Brooklyn have a huge PSAL championship game tomorrow against the South Shore HS Vikings. Eagle has a chance to pull off back-to-back PSAL titles and South Shore could add another award for their stacked trophy case. While all the attention is on this colossal showdown, we are extremely glad to report that just a few moments ago 6’3” PG Jakai Sanders (Eagle Academy Brooklyn HS, NY ’24) has decided to commit to Siena.

Sanders was a major standout for Bishop Loughlin HS last season and was an All CHSAA selection before transferring to Eagle for his final season. He has done nothing but produce with big time numbers in all categories, plus his team sits as the No. 1 overall seed. His shot has improved, he’s making more threes, and is one of the best finishers in the class of 2024. He has proven to be a terrific leader this season. His defense has picked up, his vision is excellent, he competes on every play and is obviously very clutch in big moments.

The Saints were one of his latest to offer him and they seem to make a major push over the past few months. He chose Siena over programs like Iona, Hampton and Bryant just to name a few. Sanders becomes the second member of their 2024 recruiting class which already has an interesting 3-star shooting guard. We are so high on Sanders as we had him comfortably in our top ten available New York prospects. His upside, toughness, athleticism, IQ and determination has us believing he could end up being an all-conference freshman for Siena.
