Look for what most predict to be a win for the Knights but it will not be an easy road to the finals with the Raiders. The Raiders have proven in the past they are fierce competitors and will play this game on pure determination and emotion. Will that be enough to knock out Westchester's hometown favorite Mt. Vernon Knights?
At this Wednesday Class AA Sectional game rivalry, the New Rochelle Hugenots loss to the Poughkeepsie Pioneers a sleeper team 78-75. The road to the sectionals has not been easy for the Pioneers, just last week in a home court win against No 7 seed White Plains Tigers, leading scorer Antonio Williams ran off the court at halftime and got sick in from of his team's bench but quickly returned to the game to win 93-65.
On Friday, the game to watch is Peekskill, with Mookie Jones, verses Panas at 3:30pm with the winning team heading to Sunday's final.
This Sunday, the Pioneers will face the winner of Thursday game at 12:00 noon. Sunday night is the Sectionals Championship Finals and will be the final show down for Class AA and Class A. Game times are Class AA at noon and Class A at 7:15pm.
