Walker leads Rice to Bay Ball Classic Crown

The Rice Raiders turned on the afterburners, on Sunday, in the championship round of the National Division of the Bay Ball Classic when they played Caravel Academy thoroughly dominating them from start to finish and defeating them by the score of 74 – 41.
Shooting an amazing 50% from the field and 54.5% from 3 point range during the entire game, the Raiders were up 19 – 7 in the first quarter and 41 – 21 at the half. The Rice defense caused 28 points in turnover from Caravel and Rice's bench scored twice as much as their opponent.

With four of the starting five of the Raiders scoring double digits with an offensive effort only coming from guard Tyler Niggeburge for Caravel, the undefeated Rice Raider easily cruised to a victory.
Kemba Walker was not only the game high scorer with 20 points he also had four steals for the Raiders. Sharpshooter Chris Fouch also contributed 17 points. For Caravel Academy, the high scorer was Niggeburge with 10 points. Rice's undefeated record increases to 10 - 0.
