Sid Wilson Breaks Out @ UAA I
NEW YORK, NY – The UAA I got underway at Basketball City and New Heights (NYC) faced off against G3 Grind in the 17U division during day one. Paced by a double-double from Sidney Wilson '18, New Heights started the Spring travel season out with a 71 – 66 win.
Since transferring to Brewster Academy (NH) from St. Raymond HS, a new and improved Wilson emerged on Friday. He unleashed an expanded arsenal on the Indiana squad, complete with a better footwork, extended and perimeter game as well as enhanced ballhandling skills.
New Heights touts an all-star squad that includes 7’0” Moses Brown, PG Markquis Nowell, SG Omar Silverio, Saquan Singleton and Dallas Watson.
With a plethora of colleges watching as the NCAA Live Period got underway, Wilson was a clear standout, scoring 24 points to go with 14 rebounds and 3 steals while Brown did a good job as a shot blocker.
On Saturday, New Heights will be back in action.
