NYC is the most ethnically diverse city you will find on the planet and that's what makes this city so special.

That diversity has extended into the basketball scene now, with New Heights program founder Nick Blatchford joining forces with program founder Todd Washington of the AAU Puerto Rico Playmakers.
The Puerto Rico Playmakers program was founded in 2007 by Washington who also works as Senior Advisor to the Presidents' for both PR and DR Basketball Federation.
The Playmakers focus on player development and strategic development and currently have 50 players ages 10-18 and the team has two travel teams 10U and 12U called PRP Elite. They also offer two services, "PSP" which is prep school placement where we help place kids from PR in elite prep schools, JUCO College, and College placement.
The young talented pair Gaby Anglero, St Benedicts and Carmelo Betancourt attending Montrose Christian are the first of Puerto Rico Playmakers to play here in the USA. With the combined efforts of Blatchford and Washington expect a PR invasion over the next couple of years.
