Player Profile: Sherrod Wright
From the class of 2009, Sherrod Wright is a 6'3", 195lb small forward, who's the up and coming leader of Mount Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, NY.

In last years Hoophall Classic, Sherrod Wright started emerging as a true talent. His stats were impressive, scoring 23 points on 7-for-12 shooting, 11 rebounds and 2 steals in only 27 minutes against Norcross (Ga).
As Sherrod Wright's wing game catches up to his size, he will be a huge problem for teams. Wright played well in this years iS8 Tip-Off Classic, especially during the playoffs while his teammate, Kevin Jones was away on college visits before eventually signing to West Virginia. Wright currently has offers from colleges including UMass and Xavier.
With the season set to begin in a couple weeks, look for Wright to be the next hot talent from Mount Vernon. After Kevin Jones departs, look for Wright to take on more of a leadership role.
Strengths : He has good mobility and finishes well above the rim. He has a consistent mid-range jump shot and is a good rebounder. The most impressive thing about Wright's game is his ability to score after contact. Wright is a mature and reliable player overall.
Weaknesses : Sherrod Wright is an undersized small forward who needs improve his guard skills to widen his pool of interest. Wright needs to become more engaged and become even more intense. He also needs to work on getting others involved.
