NY forward chooses UConn
It was a quiet recruitment for the most part, but it ended with load roars for UConn fans. After taking an official visit to UConn, Richard Springs, a 2020 forward, sent out a simple tweet that ended everything.
Springs not only committed to UConn, but also reclassed back to 2019 and signed with power forward Akok Akok, guard James Bouknight and guard Jalen Gaffney.He chose UConn over offers from St. John's, Rutgers, Boston College, Providence, Penn State and Wake Forest, among others.
