No. 34 Hills West forfeits game
The Dix Hills (N.Y.) Half Hollow Hills West Colts, ranked No. 34 in the most recent RivalsHigh Top 100 boys basketball rankings and No. 1 in Long Island by NYCHoops.net, is no longer undefeated.
But the team's first loss wasn't a result of a fierce box and one on Tavon Sledge or a scoreless game from Tobias Harris.

It's been reported that Hills West's use of an ineligible player during their Feb. 12 match-up against Smithtown (N.Y.) Smithtown West will cause them to forfeit the game.
Hills West pounded Smithtown West (3-16), 80-52, in the game in question, but will rescind the win to drop to 22-1. Upstate's Dewitt (N.Y.) Jamesville-Dewitt is now the only undefeated team left in the NYCHoops.net rankings.
Hills West inched past Class 'A' champion Greenlawn (N.Y.) Harborfields, 68-63, for Suffolk County bragging rights on Saturday at Farmingdale State. Tobias Harris did not participate in the game due to a foot injury, but Sledge recorded a season-high 34 points and 11 assists in the win.
Tyler Harris added 17 points. Hills West will take on Uniondale for the Long Island 'AA' Championship 4 p.m. Saturday at Hofstra University. Tobias Harris is expected to play.
