LIU Post Fall 2014 Coaches Clinic

BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - On Tuesday, Head Men's Basketball Coach Erik Smiles revealed the date of the LIU Post Basketball Coaches' Clinic at the Pratt Recreation Center in Brookville, N.Y.
The event, showcasing six featured speakers, will be held Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The guest speakers are composed of five NCAA Division I head coaches, and one legendary coach at the high school level.
Featured Speakers
Joe Mihalich (Hofstra)
o Led Niagara to three NIT and two NCAA Tournament berths.
o Three-Time MAAC Coach of the Year.
o Coached three MAAC Players of the Year, 24 All-MAAC selections and eight MAAC All-Rookie honorees.
o Eleven 17-plus win seasons in 15 years at Niagara
Steve Pikiell (Stony Brook)
o Four 20-plus win seasons and three America East regular-season championships.
o Three-Time America East Coach of the Year.
o Has led Stony Brook to four postseason berths (3 NIT, 1 CBI).
o Two-year team captain and four-year player at University of Connecticut.
Ron Naclerio (Cardozo High School)
o New York City coaching legend with 33 years at the helm of Cardozo High School.
o Fourth-winningest coach in New York State with 692 victories.
o Won the 1999 and 2014 PSAL New York City Championship.
o Has coached four NBA players and had 88 players signed to NCAA Division I schools.
Tim Cluess (Iona)
o Led 2008-09 LIU Post squad to 30-1 record and a spot in the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.
o Has led Iona to four 20-plus win seasons and two NCAA Tournament berths.
o Overall head coaching record of 210-76 (.734 winning percentage).
o Led St. Mary's High School to eight consecutive NSCHSAA titles.
Joe Tartamella (St. John's)
o Nine-year assistant coach at St. John's, promoted to head coach on Apr. 27, 2012.
o Guided St. John's to back-to-back NCAA Tournament berths in 2013 and 2014.
o Averaged 20-plus wins in two seasons as head coach.
o Member of St. John's "Sweet 16" run in 2012 as an assistant coach.
Anthony Bozzella (Seton Hall)
o Led Seton Hall to a 20-14 record and a berth in WNIT Tournament in first year.
o Took LIU Brooklyn to an NEC Championship and NCAA Tournament berth in first season.
o Led Iona to four WNIT Tournament berths and three 20-plus win campaigns.
o Guided Southampton to six ECAC Tournament appearances.
