BREWSTER, NY - Five-Star basketball Girls Super Session was held in Brewster, New York this past weekend.

The action was directed by the well respected Tony Bergeron who have coached and worked with the likes of Tyreke Evans, Lamont Jones and Achraf Yacoubou. On Sunday the action was capped by an all-star game with many metro area stars being selected to participate in the game.
CO-MVP
Bria Holmes 6'1" W (Hillhouse HS, New Heaven CT 2012) Holmes looks taller than her listed height , she is a long athletic wing that can play all five positions. She showed the ability to shot off the dribble and finish with both hands in transition, her range extends beyond the 3 point line. According to Holmes the following schools are recruiting her and offered Georgia Tech, Maryland, South Carolina, Duke, Louisville, Texas, Florida, Uconn, Rutgers, St John's, WVU, Syracuse and UNC.
Taylor Ford 6'1"W/F (Nazareth Regional HS, Brooklyn NY 2012) Ford showed the ability to play with muscle or use finesse. She is one of those players that plays at one speed, her hustle and relentless play alone makes her a good player. Ford is a lefty that has a real soft touch; she has the ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. She made a living on the let block with a few quick moves to the rim. According to her coach Apache Paschall she holds over 20 offers.
All-Star Game MVP and Most Promising Prospect
Sadie Edwards 5'10" G (Mercy HS, Meriden CT 2013) was named MVP of the All-star game; Edwards size allows you a luxury at the point guard position. She showed the abilities to both attack the basket and hit jumpers. Edwards showed the ability to get others involved in transition as well as the half court sets. According to Edwards she holds an offer from Boston College and is being recruited by St John's and Virginia and a number of other Bi East Schools.
Best Playmaker
Brianna Butler 5'11" PG (Penn Charter, Philly PA 2012) Buttler made think look very easy at time taking over in scrimmage situation either scoring or creating easy opportunities for her teammates. She shoot the ball with ease from way beyond the 3 point line, she was arguably the best prospect in the gym. Buttler indicated this is her lucky 13 list of schools Baylor, Connecticut, Duke, Georgetown, Kentucky, Louisville, Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse and Tennessee.
