Evans, Ebanks Coming to NYC

Tyreke Evans will step in front of a microphone Wednesday at American Christian in Aston, Pa., and announce his college choice live on ESPNU.
All signs point to the 6-foot-5 Evans picking Memphis, with reports now emerging that he will not sign a Letter of Intent to the school just in case Tigers coach John Calipari jets for the NBA.

"If this was a stock, you would almost put your money on him going to Memphis," Memphis recruiting guru Keith Easterwood said. "I think the key is (William Wesley) Worldwide Wes and his relationship with (Memphis coach John) Calipari and his relationship with Tyreke."
Meantime, 6-9 forward Devin Ebanks of St. Thomas More (Conn.) reportedly enjoyed his visit this past weekend to West Virginia. Ebanks, who de-committed from Indiana, traveled to Morgantown with his mother, Yvonne Jackson, and his AAU coach, Lawrence McGugins.
Ebanks still plans to visit Texas the weekend of April 26, Rutgers May 2 and Memphis May 9.
This week, both Evans and Ebanks will be in Manhattan for the Jordan Brand Classic on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. Both players are expected to be in town Thursday for Media Day and Friday for a scrimmage at LIU-Brooklyn.
St. Raymond's star Darryl "Truck" Bryant, who is competing in the Jordan Regional Game, is apparently working on wooing Ebanks to join him in Morgantown.
Of course, if Evans announces for Memphis on Wednesday, we can only imagine the conversations Evans and Ebanks will have in New York.
