Dozo Spanks San Diego

San Diego was never in this game. Coming out with a blistering 19 to 6 first quarter the San Diego Caver guards could simply not match up with the Cardozo Judges guards. Iona-bound guard Trinity Fields lit up San Diego whose only retort was to complain.
When the dust settled, the Cavers would be sent back to Cali with a 71 – 49 beating administered by the Queens, NY team..

Senior guard Patrick McCoullum was the only effective player on the San Diego team shooting 50% from the field while only 2 other players scored more than 5 points. The #1 sophomore in the country, 6'11" Jeremy Tyler had a less than stellar performance scoring 6 points with 2 rebounds and a technical foul.
By the end of the third quarter the Judges would be up by 33 points and by the end of the game, three San Diego players would have picked up three technical fouls as the team slowly self-destructed. On the other side the Judges played composed and together. Junior guard Daisean Roberts was effective at distributing the ball to teammates while senior center Marquis Grant snared 8 rebounds. However, it was the MVP, Trinity Fields who would lead the charge by not only scoring with 5 for 9 shooting from 3 point range but on defense with key steals and 6 rebounds.
High scorers for Cardozo were Fields with 24 points followed by Reynaldo Walters with 9 points. Patrick McCoullum led the way for the Cavers scoring 25 points.
