As for the game, Douglass (6-1) shocked everyone by exploding out of the gates to a 35-4 lead in the first eight minutes of the contest.
Douglass was led by Clark's 27 points and seven steals. Dorrian Williams added 20 points and Romond Jenkins chipped in 15 points for the Trojans.
Richard Council came off of the bench to lead Rice (5-1) with 23 points and 17 rebounds. Jermaine Sanders added 15 points with 9 rebounds.
