The Archbishop Stepinac Crusaders Rebuild

The summer season is in the books and with the regular season quickly approaching. Many teams have taken stock in what they have while others have just reloaded.

The CHSAA school Archbishop Stepinac HS in White Plains, NY may have lost their star players Jordan Tucker and Aundre Hyatt to out of state teams but have reloaded with promising new prospects that hope to create the same amount of viral chatter.

Archbishop Stepinac HS head coach Patrick Massaroni spoke about the new changes with excitement, " We are excited about our returning players, mixed with some newcomers. We will have some names that people do not recognize who are working really hard for the season." Stepinac basketball newcomers are:

6-5 SG 2018 Alan Griffin, is the son of former NBA player and current Oklahoma assistant coach Adrian Griffin. Last, season the guard help deliver Ossining HS to its first Section I AA Westchester County Center appearance in 34 years. This was the Chicago native first season in NY. Griffin has two siblings that also play basketball Aubrey and Adrian Jr.

Xavier Wilson

6-7 SF 2018 Xavier Wilson, last season played with Dwight-Englewood HS Bulldogs (NJ). The Bulldogs are tied with Queen of Peace (15-1, 22-7) in the NJIC Liberty Conference with a record of 15-1 and overall record of 23-7.

Bulldogs coach Eli Goldberger spoke about the forward's game back in February 2016 via (northjersey.com) saying, "Xavier (played terrific finishing tonight, which he has to get better at, and finishing around the rim. He was a factor defensively, blocking shots and being the end of our press and that was good to see".

6-3 SG 2019 Ed Sanchez, spent last season at the Masters Schools in Dobbs Ferry, NY. Sanchez, is a shooter with the ability to hit three's and finish strong around the basket.

RJ Davis (Rodney Swain)

5-11 PG 2020 RJ Davis, the youngest is a promising incoming freshman that has played on the circuit with the Gauchos. He is a solid shooter with a great defensive game.
